It’s been just over two years since we decided to open Australia’s only bookshop dedicated to architecture and design. Over that period, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting thousands of visitors in our little shop, half-hidden away in the back streets of Fitzroy, Melbourne.
So, it’s with a mix of sadness and excitement that we're announcing the imminent closure of our Fitzroy retail premises. Unfortunately, we’ve outgrown the space and, while our publishing office will remain in place, we’re now in the process of finding a more suitable home for our physical retail operations.
As of July 1, Uro’s Fitzroy bookshop will no longer be open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays. Our digital bookshop, though, will continue to operate as per usual, proudly selling and stocking remarkable books on architecture and design from around Australia and the world.
We’ll be sure to keep all of our loyal customers up-to-date as our plans for a new brick-and-mortar bookshop develop, but in the meantime, those looking to peruse our titles in person can take advantage of our in-store end-of-year sale Friday 29 and Saturday 30.
Thanks to all of our visitors over the past two years and we hope we can look forward to seeing some of you again in our new bookshop (location TBC) in the not-too-distant future!
