Established in 1956, the Sisalation Prize is the longest-standing award offered by the Royal Australian Institute of Architects. In 2001, the Prize was re-structured to establish the TAKE journals as an ongoing series exploring issues of contemporary concern to the profession of architecture.
The TAKE series bridges topical issues in architectural practice and academia and adds to the growing body of knowledge that will become a permanent architectural reference library.
With case studies and essays from over 20 Australian architects, TAKE 7: Housing Australia: How architects can make a difference is a volume of prophetic, provocative and pragmatic design ideas addressing the central concerns in Australia’s housing debate.
